The news feed allows you to group your posts under different communication channels. Some channels allow you to manually manage content, while others are self-fed automatically.
Here are the available options:
Article channel
Manual: You have full control over the content you publish.
Example: Articles, news, and other editorial information.
YouTube channel
Self-fed: Automatically retrieve videos from your channel or those of your partners.
Tip: Create specific channels for target audiences to provide educational content.
Facebook Page
Self-fed: Directly display your Facebook page posts in the app.
Note: You must connect a Facebook account (personal or business) to use this channel.
RSS Feed
Self-fed: Easily share articles from sites offering an RSS feed.
Example: Automatic retrieval of news articles.
iCal Link
Self-fed: All calendar events will be directly visible in the app under the "Events" tab.
📝 Add a Post
Posting an article in the news feed is simple. Here are the steps to follow:
Set a title (mandatory).
Write the content: Use our WYSIWYG editor to create a smooth and well-formatted text.
Add a cover image: Enhance your post visually to capture learners' attention.
Default language: The article will be automatically written in the language set for your school. 😉
🇺🇲 Translate your articles into multiple languages
In an international environment, it is essential to make your posts accessible in multiple languages. Here's how to proceed:
Add a translation language to your post (e.g. English, Spanish, Italian). : English, Spanish, Italian).
Depending on the learner’s device language setting, the article will be automatically translated into their language.
If the learner's language has no translation, the article will be displayed in English by default.
Example: If a student uses the app in Spanish and the article has been translated into Spanish, they will see the Spanish version of the article. Otherwise, they will see the English version.
👀 Manage the visibility of your channels and posts
To ensure good dissemination of your posts, you can manage their visibility and audience in a personalized way:

You can customize the audience for each post:
Authenticated users: All users logged into the app.
Public part (Premium): Accessibility for unconnected users, very useful for informing potential interested parties.
All users (Premium): All logged-in users + public audience.

This allows you to schedule and control the dissemination of your news easily. 😉
Note: The audience of a content category will apply to existing and future posts. Only users with a white-labeled app can set Premium audiences.

Do you want to publish temporary information, such as assignments or exam periods? The post scheduling allows you to manage the visibility of articles over a given period.
Set a start date for your article's publication.
Add an end date if you want the article to disappear automatically after a given period.
Edit the dates at any time if you want to adjust the visibility duration of the post.
This allows you to schedule and control the dissemination of your news easily. 😉
And how does it behave in the student app?
Learners will see the posts in the app's news feed. Depending on their language preferences and app settings, articles will be displayed in the appropriate language (if a translation is available). They will have the freedom to display the channels they want, but you can enforce display if necessary.
