The Map on your application allows you to centralize and share information about training locations with your learners, directly via an interactive map in their mobile application. With this map, students can easily find and access the various key locations of your organization, facilitating their orientation and reinforcing their autonomy.
This feature is available for clients with the Map feature. If you are interested, contact your preferred representative or hello@edusign.fr.
📌 Add locations
Viewing main training locations is essential for learners' autonomy. By adding locations to the map, you allow them to easily discover the key points of your institution.
To add a location, you will need:
An explicit title: Give a clear name to each location (e.g. "Classroom A", "Administrative Office", etc.).
A location: Use Google Maps search to find the exact address of the place.
A description: Optional, but recommended to provide additional information about this place (e.g. opening hours, objectives, available services, etc.).
A cover image: Optional, but helpful for visualizing the place. This can be a photo of the building or room.
An interior plan: Optional, but very useful for large buildings or campuses. An interior plan in image format can help your students find their way.
Once this information is entered, you can view the location directly on the interactive map and even select it precisely by clicking on the corresponding point on the map. 🤗
☎️ Contact details
To centralize all useful information for your learners, you can enter the contact details associated with each location, such as:
Phone number
Email address
Website
This will allow your students to easily contact the person in charge or find out about the locations without having to search for this information elsewhere.
👀 Audience visibility
The feature also allows you to customize access to location information based on the target audience. Here are the available options:
Authenticated users: Only users logged into their application with their credentials.
All users (Premium): Accessible to both authenticated and non-authenticated users (very useful for public events).
Unauthenticated users (Premium): Available in the public section for users who do not yet have a learner account, especially for white-label applications.
📁 Detail your map with sub-locations
To make orientation easier on a larger site, you can add sub-locations. These allow you to specify the location of specific spaces or rooms in a building.
To do this:
Attach a sub-location to a main location when creating it.
You can also create a sub-location directly from the list of locations.
Thus, the structure of locations on the interactive map will be clear, and your learners can easily find the sub-location they need. 😉
🗺️ Instant preview of the final map
When creating or modifying locations, you benefit from a real-time preview on the interactive map, visible directly on this page. This allows you to immediately check the final rendering before finalizing the changes. 👀
✏️ Modify a location
You can modify the information related to a location at any time. If elements need to be updated (change of description, addition of new coordinates, etc.), simply go to the list of locations and modify the necessary data directly. ✏️
🚮 Delete a location
If a location is no longer useful to you or is no longer up to date, you can delete it directly from the list of locations.
Warning: Deleting a location also results in the deletion of its sub-locations. If you wish to keep certain sub-locations, uncheck them before confirming the deletion.
🧭 What does this mean for my learners and speakers?
For your learners and speakers, the interactive map will be directly accessible on their mobile application, offering a clear and practical view of the different training locations.
Thus, they will be able to easily consult the location of the different learning places in a simple and fluid way, adapted to their device's screen. Moreover, the interactivity of the map allows them to zoom, search for locations, and consult detailed information with a few clicks. 🤗
