šÆ Why customize your white-label student application?
Having a white-label application allows you to configure the appearance of your app to reflect your institutionās visual identity. Here are the main benefits of this customization:
Engage your learners: Offer your students an app customized with your school's branding, which enhances their experience and strengthens their connection to your institution.
Highlight Your Uniqueness: An app that reflects your brand helps you stand out from other organizations and create a strong identity that reflects your values and visual identity.
Standardize your tools: By applying your branding to the app, you create visual consistency across all your educational and administrative tools, making the environment more professional and pleasant for your learners and staff.
š¤ Who can modify the branding of my application?
The customization of the white-label student app is reserved for users with the role of owner or administrator on the platform. These users can manage branding modifications.
If youāre responsible for the application and wish to delegate this task, you can adjust access rights for other users to control possible modifications. š
šØ How to configure the color palette of your white-label student application?
Here are the simple steps to modify the appearance of your white-label student application:
Access the platform
Log in to your platform and go to the left panel of your Edusign space > Application > Customization.Modify application colors
Once in the customization interface, you'll be able to adjust the primary colors of the app according to your branding.Check accessibility
Remember, the chosen colors must be visible and accessible for all your students. The platform automatically adjusts label colors to ensure good readability. However, it is always recommended to test the colors and get feedback before making final changes.
š± Customize the menu and page layout
In addition to colors, you can use the same screen to organize the menu and the page layout in the mobile app.
The menu displayed in the student app includes the pages configured in this section.
The order of the items determines the order in which they are displayed in the app.
The changes apply to all students at your institution.
š§ Change the menu order
From the left-hand panel of your Edusign space > Application > Customization, find the section dedicated to menu and page organization.
Adjust the order of the items to reflect the experience you want to offer students (for example: Home, Schedule, Attendance, Documents, Notifications).
Save your changes so they are reflected in the mobile app.
š” Best Practices for Organizing the Menu
Place the most frequently used features (attendance, classes, calendar, etc.) at the top of the menu.
Limit the number of visible items to keep navigation clear.
Keep the navigation path simple: from the most general pages to the most specific ones.
Use the app's preview feature to check how your changes look.
ā” Add quick actions to the home page
You can now add a quick actions menu to the home page of your app. This gives your students one-click access to the features you want to highlight (Help Center, website, campus map, directoryā¦).
You can set up to 6 quick actions.
If there are more than 3 actions, the learner scrolls horizontally through the menu to see the rest.
As with the other menus, the icon and text for each action can be customized.
š Where does this menu appear?
Before logging in (public menus): at the very top of the home page, above the "Log In" button.
Once the learner is logged in (authenticated menus): just below the main action, that is, today's session.
š§ Set up quick actions
From the left-hand sidebar of your Edusign dashboard > Application > Customization, open the Navigation section. [exact path to be confirmed]
Choose the Authenticated Menus (after login) or Public Menus (before login) tab.
In "Menu Type", select "Home Page".
Use the toggle switch to enable the desired modules, up to a maximum of 6. The " Active Modules " counter shows you where you stand.
Drag and drop the modules to change their order, and click the āļø icon to customize the icon and text for each one.
Click Save. The " Reset Menus " button allows you to restore the default settings.
š” Place your most important actions in the first 3 positions: these are the only ones visible without scrolling.
šļøāšØļø Preview the applicationās appearance during modifications
To ensure modifications are well applied and visually coherent, a mobile preview is available while you customize your application. This allows you to see in real-time what your studentsā app will look like once modifications are completed.
With this feature, you can ensure the design remains functional and aesthetic before publishing the changes. š¤
