πŸ” Generic Microsoft SSO

Simplified connection for all your users

1️⃣ What is Microsoft SSO?

Microsoft SSO (Single Sign-On) allows your users to log in to Edusign with a single click using their Microsoft account, whether personal or professional.

βœ… Fewer passwords, more productivity
βœ… Enhanced security with Microsoft authentication
βœ… Seamless experience on all our web and app interfaces

2️⃣ How does it work?

  1. On the School, Prof, or Student app, click on "Sign in with Microsoft".

  2. You are automatically redirected to Microsoft for authentication.

  3. Once logged in, you are immediately taken back to Edusign without any additional steps. πŸŽ‰

πŸ’‘ This generic SSO works with all email addresses. Microsoft automatically detects the appropriate IDP (Identity Provider) and redirects to it, avoiding any client-side configuration.

🚫 Limitations of this generic solution

Though very convenient for quick login, this SSO does not cover all use cases:

  • ❌ Not available by default on white-label applications

  • ⚠️ Unable to restrict access to specific domains only

  • ⚠️ No fine control over authentication or security rules

For more advanced needs, a dedicated SSO configuration (SAML, OAuth2, CAS) is recommended.
