1. What is SSO?
SSO (Single Sign-On), or single authentication, is a mechanism that allows a user to access multiple applications using a single set of credentials.
In the context of Edusign, this means a user can log into their account with existing credentials (Microsoft, Google, etc.) without creating a specific password for Edusign.
2. Why use SSO?
Integrating SSO offers several advantages:
✅ Simplified login: a single authentication grants access to Edusign, Zoom, Google Workspace, etc.
🔐 Enhanced security: centralized access management, unified password policy.
🛠️ Simplified administration for administrators: fewer accounts to manage, better traceability.
📱 Seamless user experience: smooth transition from one application to another.
3. Technical prerequisites
Before configuring SSO, your administrator must:
Define the redirection URLs to authorize in the identity provider (IdP).
Ensure that users already have an account on your IdP (Microsoft, Google, CAS, etc.).
🔁 Authorized redirection URLs
Profile | Redirection URLs |
School | https://edusign.app/school |
Professor | https://edusign.app/professor |
Student | https://edusign.app/student |
ℹ️ Note: All variants must be added in the SSO provider settings to ensure correct redirection.
