Cheating Management System 🚨

Updated this week

The cheating reports were designed to inform the educational institution that some students are committing fraud with attendance tracking so they can take necessary actions against the students involved.

Attention! It may happen that the report triggers false positives, for example, when a learner signs in on their classmate's smartphone because theirs ran out of battery. In such cases, the instructor must remain vigilant during classes.

With some examples, alerts will allow you to:

  • get a cheat rate for all students

  • be informed about students who cheat

✏️ Written Guide ✏️

1️⃣ Functionality 🔍

An automated task checks if a student hasn't logged into two different accounts using the same smartphone for signing in. Each smartphone is identified by a unique identifier.

2️⃣ Access cheating reports as an administrator 👨‍💼

It is also possible to access cheating reports directly from an administrator's account. Cheating reports are available on attendance sheets.

To do so, log in to your administrator's space.

Click on the Attendance Sheets tab.

Click on an open attendance sheet and scroll to the bottom of the page to click on the cheating report.

3️⃣ Access cheating reports as an instructor 👨‍🏫

It's possible to access cheating reports directly from an instructor's account. Cheating reports are available on attendance sheets. An alert appears on the attendance sheet notifying the instructor that at least one learner has cheated.

To do this, log in to your instructor space.

Then click on a session

An alert is displayed if a suspicion of cheating is detected, providing access to the cheating report to see which learners cheated in terms of attendance.

4️⃣ Be informed of cheating reports 📢

Notifications can be enabled on both instructor and administrator platforms to stay informed and get cheating reports. You can also enable receiving cheating reports via email to store them outside of Edusign.

Attention! Sending cheating reports by email does not work in real-time; the administrator will be informed the next day about the cheating incidents carried out the previous day.

To enable notifications related to cheating reports, navigate to the left navigation bar of the interface, then click on the Notifications tab.

Once the notification menu is open, click on the button with the 3 superimposed dots at the top right of the menu, then on Notification Settings.

Scroll down in the settings page to the "Personalization" section then enable cheating detection by notification and / or email as you wish.

In conclusion, cheating reports allow you to maintain a certain level of vigilance over your learners' attendance, detecting different cheating attempts.
