In this article, you will find:
1️⃣ Difference between attendance lists and document credits.
With Edusign, you can have learners sign on attendance sheets but also create and send documents (contract, agreement, etc.) for secure signature. This is not the same type of signature. The first are "simple" signatures, while the latter are more secure and require dual authentication and different storage modes.
These two possibilities have distinctly different offers:
Attendance lists work on a subscription system granting a certain volume of signatures monthly or annually.
Document signatures, on the other hand, require the purchase of a signature pack from the Documents tab. You can choose the offer that suits you best and fund your account as you see fit. The purchase is one-time, and you will need to repurchase credits whenever you run out.
2️⃣ How are document credits deducted?
When you create your document template, each signature variable added (learner, participant, admin, external) on your template will equate to the number of credits deducted per send.
For example, if you want to have a document signed by 3 people: you as admin, a learner, and an external party, the number of credits consumed will be 3.
If you send this document to 3 groups of people, then, the number of credits deducted will be equivalent to the number of sends * number of signatures, or 9 in this case.
Attention! The deduction occurs at the time of sending, not at the time of signing. Also, to reiterate the previous example, you will be deducted 9 credits as soon as you click Send. A summary banner will give you the total number of documents generated and credits consumed just before sending.
Once the document is sent, credits can no longer be recovered.
