Connector users, important advice and recommendations.

Synchronization between Edusign and your connector (Hyperplanning, Ammon, SC-Form, Aimaira, Aurion, Yparéo).

Hey 👋

Using a connector with Edusign requires special attention to certain elements. Notably, the manual creation of resources (learners, speakers, sheets...) manually on Edusign.

Here are some tips to avoid any unexpected hiccups.


✏️ Do not create resources manually.

Synchronization with Edusign occurs regularly. However, it may happen that a resource (learner, speaker, sheet...) is not imported due to an error in entering information on your connector, such as a missing email.

Therefore, it is recommended to never create resources manually on Edusign to avoid duplicates and other errors, especially for learners or speakers.

In case of an emergency, you may create an attendance sheet, but use existing learners and speakers.

If in doubt, please contact the Edusign team via the chat on edusign.app, they will respond as soon as possible.


🤦‍♂️ The information reflected on Edusign is not correct.

In the case where some information is incorrect, like a wrong email, it is better to wait for the next synchronization so that the modification is made automatically from your connector. If it's urgent, the information must be properly modified on Edusign and on your connected software.

Thus, the synchronization will be correct and will not overwrite data or add duplicates.


⚙️ Synchronization schedules for different connectors.

It is important to know that when using a connector, information from your ERP does not upload instantly; indeed, connectors have synchronization schedules that we will see below:

  • The absence connector (sending data from Edusign to your ERP) operates twice a day, around 10:30 AM and 8:30 PM.

  • For the import connector (sending data from your ERP to Edusign) synchronization also occurs twice a day at the following times:
    11:30 AM-1:30 PM and then again in the evening between 6 PM and 9 PM

Keep in mind that these schedules may vary depending on the type of connector or the amount of data to be imported or exported


📝 Create an attendance sheet in the past

If you are missing attendance sheets, or if you wish to modify them, but the class time has already started:

  • You will first need to create the missing attendance sheet, in the same way as you would create one for the future.

  • Do not manually add learners or speakers

  • Wait for the next synchronization of your connector which will automatically add the learners and speakers

You will then have to manually report the attendance and absence statuses in your ERP, as the synchronization cannot upload this information manually created.

By hovering over My Account at the top right, you will be able to access the Installed Connector (X) menu. Information related to it will then be available. From the Events and Logs sub-tab, you can view all the synchronization operations carried out between Edusign and your connector.
