Edusign API - API Keys and Access

Where to generate your Edusign API keys, who can do it, and how to grant API access to a user.

The Edusign API lets you connect Edusign to all your software.

To retrieve your API key, go to your Edusign admin dashboard under Settings > API & MCP, then click " Generate an API Key " and give your key a name.

You can generate up to 25 API keys for your organization. You can delete a key at any time from this same page.

Who can generate an API key?

  • The account owner, always.

  • An Administrator or a User, provided that the API Access option is enabled on their profile.

  • The Analyst role does not have access to the API.

To grant API access to an employee, go to Settings > Users, open their profile, and then enable API Access in the Access section. This option can only be changed by the Owner or by an Administrator who has API access.

Note:

  • Once generated, the key is no longer visible. Be sure to save it somewhere!

  • The API & MCP page also lets you connect your AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT) to Edusign. to Edusign via the MCP.

If your plan does not provide access to the API and you wish to obtain it, contact us or take the leap with a new plan.
