1️⃣ How It Works
Does NFC signing require the phone's location?
No. The NFC chip signature verifies that the badge is associated with the session room and that the check-in occurs during access hours. Only the QR code validation of the sign uses the phone's location.
Does QR code validation check the distance?
Yes. It compares the phone's location to the location configured for the sign and to the maximum distance defined in its settings.
Does a VPN prevent you from signing in?
QR verification uses the phone's location, not its IP address. However, if your organization has enabled an IP address restriction for signatures, it applies to both NFC signatures and QR codes. The message displayed is then "Signature failed." Please connect to the hotel's Wi-Fi network and try again. "In that case, disable the VPN or ask your administrator to check this restriction."
When can you sign in?
Access hours are set in the sign's settings and are calculated based on the session schedule. If no access time is specified, check-in is possible from 10 minutes before the start of the session until 10 minutes after the end of the session. With a single time slot, sign-in is open between the start and end of the session, offset by the selected number of minutes. With two ranges, it is open around the start and around the end, and closed in between. For example, with the default settings (5 minutes before the start, 5 minutes before the end), sign-in closes 5 minutes before the end of the session. If the sign-in is rejected, ask the school administrator to check this setting.

Can one sign be used for multiple rooms?
A sign is associated with only one room at a time. A single room can be associated with multiple signs.
How do I reassign a sign?
In Settings > NFC, open the sign settings and select the desired room.
Can we turn off the sign?
The settings allow you to enable or disable QR code signing for a sign, or to apply this setting to all signs in the account. This setting does not disable NFC chip signing, which cannot be disabled. To stop using a sign, remove the room associated with it.
3️⃣ Settings Management
Can you change the location and distance of multiple signs at once?
No. The location and maximum distance can be changed in the settings for each sign. Access hours and QR code signature settings can be applied to all signs in the account.
Does the room appear in the exports?
The attendance export includes the room associated with the session. It does not specify which sign was scanned.
