πŸ“Š Professors: Analyzing your attendance sheet statistics

As a professor, you have a personal Statistics tab. It allows you to closely monitor the attendance of your students and get a comprehensive overview of the participation rate for your own sessions.

Written by Maxime Alaphilippe

πŸ’‘ Prerequisites: From the main menu, click on the Statistics tab, then make sure you are in the Attendance sheets sub-category (just below the main menu).

1. 🎯 Filtering your sessions

To refine your analysis and quickly find a course, use the filters located at the top of the screen:

  • Date: Set the period to analyze (the filter is set by default to the last 30 days, or Previous 30 days).

  • Sheet Name: Type the specific name of an attendance sheet to find it.

  • Training name: Filter your statistics to display only one training program.

2. πŸ“‹ The "Course Attendance Table"

The All Courses section is the core of your analysis. This table lists all your sessions over the selected period and details the attendance for each of them. Here is the exact data you will find, column by column:

  • Course Name: The name of your session or module.

  • Start / End: The exact start and end dates and times of the course.

  • Attendance Rate %: This is your key indicator. Visual tip: The box turns red to immediately alert you of a critical attendance rate (e.g., 0.0%).

  • Total Students: The total number of students expected in your group.

  • Present / Absent: The exact count of students who signed in (Present) and those who missed the course (Absent).

  • Training: The overall training program this course is linked to.

πŸ–±οΈ Navigation tip: If you have many sessions, use the scroll bar on the right of the table to scroll down. The total number of rows (e.g., 201 rows) is indicated at the bottom right of the table.

3. πŸ“… The "Weekly Analysis" section

By scrolling down your page, below the main table, you will find the Weekly Analysis section. This graphical space allows you to identify trends over the week to understand, for example, if your students are systematically more absent on Friday afternoons or Monday mornings.

4. πŸ“‰ The "Student Attendance in My Courses" section

Right below your main indicators, this section focuses on vigilance points concerning your students:

  • Average Student Rate in Courses: This block highlights, in large font, the overall average attendance rate of your students in your courses (e.g., 1.1%).

  • Courses with Low Student Attendance: This is an alert table specifically targeting problematic sessions. Here you will find the name of the critical course, the date, the number of expected students, as well as the exact breakdown of present and absent students. It is the perfect tool to spot at a glance courses with a high dropout rate (often at 0% in this view)!

5. πŸ“Š The Trends graphs

For a more visual reading of long-term attendance, the page offers two time-based graphs:

  • Monthly Student Attendance Trend: A bar chart illustrating the monthly evolution of your students' attendance rate. Very useful for comparing overall attendance from one month to the next (e.g., from March to April).

  • Professor Attendance Trend: A line graph (curve) tracking the weekly evolution of your own attendance rate (Weekly Attendance Rate). The peaks and valleys highlight the weeks when your activity was the most intense.

6. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ« The "Professor Summary" dashboard

Finally, the interface offers a complete summary of your own activity via very precise numerical blocks:

  • Total Courses: The total number of sessions or modules assigned to you over the period.

  • Professor Attendance Rate: Your overall attendance rate calculated across all your courses.

  • Professor Presence / Absence Count: The exact number of sessions where you were marked present, versus the number of sessions where you were absent.

  • Professor Presence / Absence Hours: The translation of these presences and absences into exact hourly volume (e.g., 8.4 cumulative hours of presence).

The analysis doesn't stop there! Feel free to explore the rest of your workspace. The "By students" and "Trainings" tabs are full of other key performance indicators that will be useful for professors to deeply monitor the data related to their students and training programs!
